Cascais Bay

1 day trip

Cascais Bay

Cascais is a small town very close to Lisbon, dominated by the bay and famous for offering  glamorous summers to the european royalties in the past. Enjoy your lunch tasting the local seafood at Maria Pia Restaurant and then try the delicious ice creams of Santini shop

Day 1 - Cascais Bay
Events of the day
Maria Pia Restaurant
Maria Pia one of the nicest places on the Bay of Cascais for tasting the local sea food and wines. Relaxed atmosphere and incredible view of the marina.

Very good price-quality relation, the menu has dishes of fish and meat, both really good, but we recommend you to try the seafood: tuna tartare with sesame 8 euros, salted cod carpaccio 9 euros, sea bass ceviche 8 euros, plated black linguine with scallops 22 euros, thermidor lobster 39 euros, tiger prawns breaded with sesame and salad of seaweed and soy 35 euros. And accompany these dishes with a good selection of local wines.

The restaurant opens from Tuesday to Sundays from 12:00 to 23:00 and on Mondays it’s closed.
Santini Gelati
Try the most famous ice creams of the Portugal, these ice creams from Portugal are made 100% natural with an old family recipe. Amazing texture and very creamy, the flavours change depending on the season.

The shop is small and the line of customers use to be long but it is worth it to wait for eating this delicious ice creams.
